Bradford 3 1 Peterlee
New Coach Mark Brooksbank, and the Management have put in a lot of hard work Pre-Season and the first game V Bradford looked like we aint kicked a ball. Bradford Started the better, keeping posession and playing around us, we were working hard to get a grip of the game, but it just would'nt happen, Jo had a shot come cross and it went in. 1-0 to us against the run of play, The goal lifted us and we were in control, but Bradford closing us down quickly left us running in circles again. We did string a couple of passes together and break through, but there defence held strong and we were on the back foot from quick break aways. The game finished 3-1 to Bradford.
We have Chester at home on Sunday, and as we all said players and staff together, we cant ever play that bad again.

Peterlee -0 Chester City Ladies 1
Bringing in 5 new players who have all got the ability to play at combination level give the team a great boost. Its taken time for everything to come together and gell as a team, but the 1st game of the season V chester on sunday at Eden Lane was a good game from both sides. The game was a tidy game of football with both sides keeping good possesion in midfield, with very few chances at each end, and half time 0-0 The second half started as the first, fast and furious but on the 65th minute chester played the ball over the top and with Chester centre forward coming back on side, we stoped and waited for the whistle, the ref let it go, not interfearing with play and the chester winger ran on to it and put it away 1-0 to Chester. no complaints. We started to build again and created very few chances as it was a midfield battle, we broke through, but our fire power upfront was poor. Chester made another break from defence, but new GK Leanne Cark starting this season, came off her line very quickly, and made good saves at the feet of the centre forward. The game finished 1-0 to chester City Ladies,
Peterlee 2 2 Roachdale
The game started with Peterlee dominating the first half, good slick passing caused problems for Rochdale, but our lack of finishing again let us down, but we kempt up the pressure and it paid off with Kempy Chipping the keeper, and then 2 minute's later Jools struck a shot from outside the box and it came back off the post and droped to Kempy, and she put it over the bar from 6 yards out, if this had gone in we would of gone in half time 2-0, and been on top of our game but it didnt 1-0 half time. The game started with the midfield battle again, and Bridge and Leanne Bell were dominating, breaking them down and creating from our possesion, but the concentration went again they pulled it back 1-1. we just switched off and their goal give them self belief they pushed on and Rochdale scored 2-1. that was a kick up the backside for us, we had played and worked to hard to get nothing out of this game, in the last ten minutes pushed on and the ball was played out to Joanne, she give it to Amy, Joanne carried on her run linked up with Amy again, Amy drove into the box, I think everyone was expecting the cross, but the power in her shot took it passed Rochdale keeper on the near post. 2-2. We still finished pushing forward for the winner, but we ran out of time..Its coming together now, and we believe it. Away To Curzon Ashton Sunday 9th.

In the 1st ten min against curzon we were all over them, our dominance paid off from our 3rd corner. a good header from vikky mudd 1-0 Peterlee. The game was pretty even but right on the 45 minute curzon broke away and scored half time 1-1 Curzon came out and started to dominate the game, but battling Peterlee kempt them out. We had to change the Keeper due to injury and take Haley Evans off the wing to play in goal. Haley was keeping the score to 1-1 with some tremendous saves, but it was only a matter of time before curzon scored, Haley made a good save but only managed to parry it onto the centre forward 2-1 curzon. We held on and kept the score to 2-1 when we had a fantastic break from there 18yd box Leanne bell running the length of the pitch to put a great cross in Curzon defender handled it we were giving the penalty, and Juliette Brown steped up to take it in the 85th minute, this was the only chance we were going to get to salvage a point. Caernarfon 2 1Peterlee
Following the long trip down to North Wales, starting at 630am, Peterlee, uncharacterisically made a bright start putting Caernarfon under constant pressure. Peterlee took aderserved early lead in the 26 minute after Jo Moncur played a 30 yard pass to Vicky Mudd's feet who spun the last defender and putting the ball into the back of the net.1-0.On Breakaways with 40 yard clearance's from Caernarfon, GK claire Normandle pulled of a fantastic save that was heading for the top corner keeping Peterlee 1-0 up. Peterlee kempt possession for the majority of the first half creating many chances, but failing to convert. Just before half time a long clearance from Caernafon caught out the Peterlee defence letting in the fast centre forward who took her chance, half time 1-1 Thw second half started brightly with Peterlee passing with purpose, and against the run of play Caernafon scored from a free kick with a mix up in our defence with Jules Brown heading in her own goal 2-1 Caernarfon. Peterlee had an uphill battle and had a change of formation due to illness and injury, the combination of the long journey and the changes Peterlee never regained thier rythem and despite battling hard to the end could not find the equaliser althrough hitting shots of the bar and post. It was a long day leaving 6.30 am, and arriving back 10.30pm for a 90 minute game of football. Most of the players had to get up for work the next morning, so the management would like to thank all the players for thier dedication. Next game away to Scunthorpe.
Petrlee 7 0 Salford Sport
Peterlee put up a superb performance against Salford Sports at Eden Lane, scoring the goals that we created instead of failing in the attacking third. Our game plan really did pay dividends, new partnership of Vicky Mudd and Jade Ridley playing together up front scoring 2 goals each, and causing the opposition problems with the physical strength. Juliette Brown got on the score sheet with 1 goal who travels up from Portsmouth to play. Claire bridgette got 1 and Leanne Kemp 1 making the total 7. 3-0 up at half time takes the foot off the pedal, but not this time, we continued to play good pressing football and scored 4 more goals in the 2nd half, Rae Taylor and Sam Hill were the usual strong selves at the back and GK Claire Normandale mostly redundent pulled of a diving save down to her right to keep us a clean sheet.
Bradford Ladies 1 2 Peterlee Town Ladies F.A. Cup 1st round
You would of thought after last weeks victory 7-0 over Salford, Peterlee would have come out the blocks hitting the ground running, but alas no. This was a horrible game of football to watch, no flow from either team, as everything got broke down very quickly in the first half. Bradford scored on 10 minutes, leaving everyone wondering where it came from. After the half time team Rant by the staff, attitudes changed, discipline changed, and team formation changed. Peterlee started to play better, getting the ball out wide to Leanne Bell, Leanne cutting in from the right leashed a power full shot hitting the inside of the post on it way in on the 83 minute, full time being 7 minute's away it looked like extra time was looming, but we were well on top now, and a loose defensive ball fell to Claire Bridgett,, taken a touch to set her self up for a 30 yard screamer. 2-1 Peterlee, Bradford won a corner in the 90 minute, GK Claire Normandale collected it with no pressure. The final whistle sees Peterlee in the 2nd round, drawing Rochdale Ladies, at home Eden Lane 11th November.k.o. 1pm
Chester2-1 Peterlee
| An early start for a long journey to Chester was not very rewarding, yet another game of two halfs, thanks to the windy conditions, Peterlee took the game to Chester with the help of the wind behind them. Rae Taylor dominating mid field, and Jade Ridley up front running them ragged. Jade scored a 30yard screamer and 2 minutes later hit the bar with the same sort of shot, HT came to early for peterlee hoping to score a few more with the wind, but it was not to be. Chester's goal was a shot that came off the outside of the post and spun back, with Sam hill clearing off the line, the ref said no goal, the assistant ref said goal, the ref changed his mind and give it. Half time 1-1 Most of the second half was as the first with the wind helping Chester. Chester scoring an identical goal to ours, with Claire Normandale our keeper having no chance. Final score Chester2-1 Peterlee County Cup West Auckland 1 Peterlee 2Todays County Cup semi final at West Auckland got off to a good tempo from both teams, with some strong tackles from both sides. Peterlee worked hard against the wind in the first half with home good defending and attcking play from everyone. Claire Bridgett and Jade Ridley battled for everything and were in control of the west players. Some good play down the right hand side by Simone Laverick and Rachel Headly resulted in a corner. Peterlee kept the attacking going and the defence holded out till half time 1-0 up, with good defending from Rae Taylor. Peterlee knew that the next goal scored was important. So Laura Gibbon came off making way for Vicky Mudd, who defended from the front well and even managed to get through on goal, but to be denied by the post. Amy Westmarland was denied a chance of making it two nil by a great save from the west keeper. Then with around 20 minutes to go Claire Bridgett shot from far out and the west keeper managed to spill the ball into her own net, giving Peterlee a 2-0 lead.
